Maya is no ordinary NGO, its very existence sits on the principle of reaching out with the magic of upliftment. Maya does not aim to give, but to make better. Make better the lives of AIDS orphans, Girl children, Widows and destitutes. Maya’s magic comes from the fact that it will enable others to enable themselves.

Maya is the brain child of a very sensitive and caring person - one who sees suffering, feels it and empathises with it. But one who has decided to no longer be an onlooker but an activist.

Extremely well equipped to head and direct MAYA, is Ms Mamta Reddy. Mamta schooled at Kodaikanal International School, and did her business administration from the prestigious American College of London, majoring in Finance and Management. But her heart was always with psychology and the need to be a help to those in need. A top profile career lady in the United States of America, she kept having her heart strings pulled by the sight of those less fortunate than herself. She left America to be back in Hyderabad, nurturing her young daughters while pursuing the need to be of help. She took up a course in counselling affording her the tools necessary to delve into the intricate problems of the people she deals with.
